International Drive hotels – best low-price deals and a good location in Orlando.
When searching for a budget hotel in Orlando there is no better choice than the International Drive area. The perfect location for a family with kids.
Despite all transformations in “The Theme Park Capital of the World”, the I-Drive area not only has survived, but is also developing in the right direction.
This while other hotel areas are on the decline, and previously popular hotels are abandoned by disappointed guests.
International Drive is very much a hotel area with hundreds of hotels along this street, which stretches 18 kilometers from south to north.
Since FloridaUSAguide has long years of experience with Florida hotels and we spend a lot of time in Orlando, we dare to say – without exaggeration – that you get the best tips about budget hotels in Orlando by reading about our suggestions further down. Those hotels have that little extra which makes us more than happy to recommend them.
International Drive hotels for families with kids
The selection of International Drive hotels is characterized by low cost offers and this is where a family with kids finds budget hotels with quality.
Close to all the major theme parks and a lot of other Orlando activities and restaurants.
Inn & Suites
Our absolute favorite hotel on International Drive. We often stay there. The hotel belongs to the Hilton Group. Do not confuse this Hampton with the one at Kirkland Road which is not a good choice because it was rebuilt from an old hotel.
Newly renovated, very clean and tidy rooms. Very popular choice among our visitors, partly because of the excellent location near restaurants and attractions.
One of the few hotels in the area that has a security gate one has to pass. Location is very good for Universal visitors. Pretty close to Ramada Plaza Resort.
Hyatt Place – Orlando
Centrally located, whether it’s for theme parks, shopping or a conference at the Orlando Convention Center. Do not be fooled by the map, although the address is I-Drive, the hotel is closer to Universal blvd, but with access from both directions.
Embassy Suites International
One of the most central locations on International Drive, in the same area as the conference center. A hotel for those who want comfort and big rooms. Prices from around $ 160, for which you get rooms with both refrigerators and microwaves. In addition, special food is served.
Embassy Suites by
Hilton I Drive 360
Not to be confused with the hotel with the same name a little further south. In the same neighborhood as La Quinta and the old Ramada hotel. Possibility to stay in a large suite with lots of amenities, otherwise quite ordinary. The hotel is located near the new I-Drive 360.
Very centrally located on International Drive, although the hotel may seem hidden on a back street. Low cost accommodation, rooms from less than $ 100.
La Quinta Inn
A great hotel in the Texas-based La Quinta chain, a very good option to keep in mind when traveling in the US. We like the location near the Universal parks.
Very good location near the Universal parks. A hotel chain that is always reliable. Easy to find next to the Titanic exhibition.
Ramada Inn by Wyndham
At Jamaican Court we present a hotel that is actually on the verge of not qualifying (but our editor likes this place…). This Ramada is an option if you can accept some wear and tear. Not close to the standard at the Ramada Plaza further north, although recent change of owner might be positive.
Courtyard by Marriott
Another mid-range hotel we would like to highly recommend. Like the Jamaican Court, the Austrian Court is a small side street to International Drive. Definitely among the best budget choices among the International Drive hotels.
