The hotel, located near Universal Resort, has been among our Orlando hotel favorites for many years.

Of course, the water activities here are far from what the big water parks offer. But the concept is so interesting that Coco Key Water Resort takes place among the water parks we chose to write about. A perfect family hotel and for kids that like to play in the water between park visits.

Coco Key Water Resort has an excellent location on International Drive. Universal is a couple of miles away (on the other side of the highway) and both Magical Midway and Funspot America are nearby. In addition, the northern low-cost paradise Premium Outlets.

Within easy walking distance also a number of great family restaurants. Example: Ihop, TGI Fridays; Perkins, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Pizza Hut.

As a benchmark south, the giant Orlando Eye in the new I-Drive 360 complex, which is within walking distance (15 minutes).

“Coco Key family-friendly and a dream for the children”

Coco Key Water Resort is a 3-star hotel with 400 rooms and described our hotel expert Gunnar Hedqwist (owner and CEO of FloridaUSAguide):
“Family-friendly and a dream for the children with their own water park in the hotel area. The rooms are ok but not by Hilton standard. ”

The water park, which is 6,000 square meters, has three swimming pools and 14 slides plus a lot of other water activities. In addition, other “childish” pleasures.
